To handymen, Jake and Cory, building a relationship is a lot like designing a home or landscaping a yard. It’s hard work, and you have to use just the right tool.

When these straight-acting laborers first meet, they release their manly tension over a few beers and something much more sordid than sparks fly. Their strong libidos aren't used to experiencing feelings for another man, and it takes a few sticky situations before they understand the blossoming romance budding between them.

Cute and tatted twenty-something, Jake Honeywell, will do anything for his kid sister. He loves landscape design and longs to travel north one day to see the fall foliage. He’s recently come out—at least to himself and a select few. While this has him circle jerking with his buddies watching football, there’s something missing.

Cory Hamilton is tall, tough, and macho. He’s a successful real-estate flipper who prefers the modesty of a simple life instead of the lavishness his burgeoning career provides. When the Home Television network discovers him, things change and Cory struggles to manage a developing man-on-man love affair.

Step one of building a gay romance mm lay a solid foundation. Step two build the framework. Step three raise the roof.

But, will Jake and Cory be able to fill the cracks in their unstable foundation?

Warning Contains graphic sex and strong language. This book is intended for mature audiences—and those who can appreciate gay love stories.

The Handyman Can is a full-length, standalone novel. The first few chapters were released under the title Handymen Do It Better but have been revised here and include some deleted scenes.

68 of 75 for 2015. Why is it so hard for men to get together and realize that they're in love. Of course our society still frowns upon such relationships, even with the Supreme Court recognizing our right to be married. This novel, essentially a very well written gay harlequin romance, follows the lives of landscaper Jake and house flipper Cory who meet when Cory is visiting his parents who live in a golf club complex where Jake does the landscaping. Yes, they both feel something extraordinary when with the other, but, dammit, that kind of thing just doesn't happen. Except, of course, it does. Cory is getting ready to leave for a gig on a new "reality" show that will be filming in Seattle. Jake wins the hearts of the ladies of the complex's landscaping committee, but loses his job there when a homophobic owner learns his secret. Jake flies to Seattle to surprise Cory and ends up winning a spot on the tv show staff. As well as his man. It's all very formulaic, but so well written that you just don't care. Highly recommended if you don't mind graphic descriptions of male on male sex. Definitely a fun read if you like that sort of thing.

The Handyman Can edition by Dan Sexton Literature Fiction eBooks Reviews

This book was a great follow up to Handymen Do It Better. I Love the way Jake and Cory's story evolved. There was so many hot, steamy man on man love scenes. It actually shows you that love is love no matter who it is. It also shows that love is beautiful between all persons. We all go through our ups and downs in relationships. But in the end love conquers all.
I thought this book was amazing, it was truly captivating. I couldn’t stop reading from the moment I started. The vivd writing style pulled me right into the lives of the two main characters, to the point where I could feel what they were feeling in the moment. The sexy parts were pretty dang hot, but beyond that the story just pulls you in and invests you deep into the connection between the characters. Would highly recommend, and will definitely be reading more of Dan Sexton's work!!
This is a real treasure of a story, so full of love it almost overflows, but never too fluffy, not with the two main characters being so chunky! The mix of work, fun and lovemaking, together with a few suspenseful moments make it an irresistible read. Don't expect to put it down once you start!
This will be short since reviewing from my tablet. No spoilers....that is what the synopsis is for.

Loved the storyline. Good story pace. Great characters. Dialogue was engaging. Sex was steamy but not panty melting. No heart twinges or surprise moments, but all in all an entertaining read.

Written as multi pov.

It was a nice story.
I couldn't get into it much though. One of those stories that are good but just not for me.
It felt too juvenile somehow. The situations, the MCs, most of all the language...
It just didn't click for me.
It's a solid story though, I don't regret reading for a moment. Just... I don't think I'd be reading it again.
I need something I didn't feel here for that.

Gotta appreciate it anyway ^^
I liked these two sexy, hard working, no nonsense guys. There were some less than perfect guys around them that were unlikable but these two were both delicious.
Their families were pretty decent people too, whereas in many books the families are awful people.
I watched a home remodeling program all day on TV while reading this book so it made for a great setting in which to enjoy it.
When I started this book, I wasn't feeling it for the first few pages. Jake's introduction, his convenient run in with Corey and such. It seemed too stock and too easy, but I kept reading, and once I got the hang of it, I liked this book. It makes a somewhat sweet love story with some light raunchiness.
The book surprised me a little bit. Some of the things I thought were going to be troublesome plot points, i.e. one of the character's job; what happens on a plane...the characters actually trusted each other and went about their business. I liked that. In fact there was something that happened that I wanted to see what would occur when it was found out, but I needed to go to bed to get up early, and I actually lay in bed thinking about it. I guess that says something about this book (or me!).
Good book. Recommended
